NEW from Spanish With A Gringo! Workbooks are the notes and practices from the website in one central location. Easy to find, easy to read, easy to fill out.
Spanish For Beginners: Part I is an introduction to Mexican Spanish for adult learners, with the entire curriculum developed by Spanish With A Gringo.
Starting with pronunciation and ending with verbs, this book uses notes and practice exercises to walk you through the big elements of Spanish one by one. With a Mexican Spanish angle, you no longer have to worry about being taught expressions from across the Spanish-speaking world.
Spanish For Beginners: Part II is the second part of an introduction to Spanish for adult learners. While in Part I students mainly focus on the big topics—verbs, nouns and adjectives—Part II stresses the small things: prepositions, ser vs. estar, por vs. para, and object pronouns, including verbs like "gustar."
Intermediate Spanish: A Guide is the third unit of curriculum of Spanish for adult learners. In the first two installments titled Spanish For Beginners: Part I and Part II, only the present tense was used to explain new grammar topics. But now it's time to expand your use of tenses. Starting with the past and ending with the future, this book makes clear to students the necessity of knowing your conjugations.
Advanced Spanish: A Guide is the fourth and final unit of curriculum of Spanish for adult learners. In the first three installments, we explained major and minor elements of Spanish grammar all in great detail. But now it's time to get past the final boss in the videogame. From commands to the sub- junctive, this final book will help you show mastery of Spanish by bringing together everything you have learned thus far.
Yes, it's true. Here at Spanish With A Gringo, we are organized. Like really organized. But that's good for you! Because of that organization, the notes are extremely easy to read and digest, and go along hand and hand with the practices.
The practices are designed to get you thinking and challenge you. There are hundreds and hundreds of practice examples in this book. Remember, though, that written examples are only to help you grasp concepts, but you must practice conversing to really understand!
It's helpful to do repetitive sentence examples, but let's be honest, sometimes that can get...repetitive. Just plain boring. So Spanish With A Gringo has included a reading at the end of our book to help you pull together the concepts taught throughout, with a practice section after to test your comprehension.
Unlike in the materials section of this website, Spanish For Beginners: Part I & Part II actually have answers to all the practices at the end of the book. This is not an excuse when doing your homework to just look up the answers. Students should resist that urge! But at least now you can check yourself to see how your answers matched up with ours.
